Agreed, I would have bought the game just for that. I am really influenced by you atm, really need to get it out of my system I think. Thank you for sharing your work and keep kicking those pixels around.
Emrah: There is tons more concept art for this, but it hasn't been released. I'm not sure of the schedule, but as I know I can put it up, I certainly will.
Santiago: It sounds like you might be surprised that I mostly use the basic hard/soft photoshop brushes and just use the colour picker to smooth things out. Generally start with harder edged things and finish with soft, but it depends on the subject. I find this works well for figures but less-so with environments.
THAT'S CRAZY! so the rendering is from technique?! its a sad day when ive become so spoiled by digital art and its editing capabilities that im amazed that an artists technique is the source of their inspiring images :(.
Great stuff, love your work. I had a quick question about your envirnoments, do you tend to create these from scratch or are you given a basic polygon model and paint over that? I always wondered that about that. Thanks!
Damn girl! I love your style and designs!
ReplyDeleteIts a real shame that an art book was not included with the game

ReplyDeleteHi Laurel,

I really like the "lean" look of all of your characters...kind of cartoony, but still with great detail. Your Brink work is really great!!
