Gnomon Live 2012

I had the good luck to have been invited to give a presentation at Gnomon Live 2012 in Hollywood this past weekend.  I'm really happy to have gone - to be part of the same lineup as such other amazing artists was a privilege.

Here's the piece I did to demonstrate different methods of creature rendering.

Thanks to everybody who turned out!

  6. Your presentation was awesome and I learned so much! I especially liked how you kept on going back to your reference photos to take in information on the fine details/scuff marks/color on the animals. Something I need to get into the habit of doing. Thanks for representing the female crowd in a male-dominated industry!

  7. One of the best presentations ;) I wish I could see you doing an entire painting one day (too bad the time was too short for that)
As a texturing/shading artist I can say I learned a lot that day, thanks for being there !

  9. Thanks everybody -- it was a lot of fun and I'm so glad to have seen so many other ladies there! If you guys got anything useful from my presentation, all the better :)

I'm not sure if the video will ever be up for download, but I know they've shown the videos from past events, so it's possible.
