The values are stunning. You've got such nice extreme values and I salute you. How would you build the values in a piece such as this. Do you get down and dirty with your values off the bat or do you prefer to build up from darks or lights?
Johan: I tend to work in a couple of different ways. For something like this, I'd tend to start in linework and add values as I go. For things like the brink characters, I always tended to start with black silhouettes and go straight into value and colour very opaquely on top.
